Limestone Lodge, originally constructed circa 1850, around the famine era in Ireland.Using local Limestone and sandstone materials. This house has been lovingly and totally modernized and extended to embrace all the luxuries of modern day life yet still retaining the magnificent ambient and quality of workmanship of this by gone era.

Folklore says Cavan,well known as the lake county is said to have 365 lakes, one for every day of the year…well its not strictly however true but its close enough!

The lane beside the house is known locally as ‘Cromwell’s Pass’, this dates back to Cromwellian times and nearby Lough Oughter Castle where Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have marched his armies on route to attack the Castle in 1653 and finally took control of it from the rebels of the day.
